COMMON GROUND Let’s talk

The AI Leverage Audit / Any size

An AI audit for your business or team

The AI Leverage Audit is a two-week review of how work moves through your business. You get three ranked AI opportunities and a detailed scope for the one worth building first.

What the problem usually looks like

Most businesses and teams we talk to already have access to AI tools. The harder question is where to use them first, and whether a given idea is worth the time to set up. These are some of the patterns the Audit looks for:

  • The same customer questions get answered by hand every week.
  • Details from an email or form get retyped into a spreadsheet, then into a task board.
  • Reporting means pulling exports from several tools and combining them by hand.
  • A process only works because one person remembers every step.

Those are examples. Your list will be different, and some items on it may turn out to be a poor fit for AI.

What the Audit covers

The Audit takes two weeks and happens remotely. Your time commitment is about an hour: a working session at the start and a walkthrough call at the end. We do the work in between.

  1. Review your current process. We walk through the tools, tasks, and handoffs your business uses today. We look at where work arrives, where it waits, and which steps need your judgment.
  2. Rank the opportunities. We compare candidate projects on value, effort, risk, and readiness. Readiness asks whether the data exists, whether the steps repeat, and whether someone is available to review the output.
  3. Scope one project. The strongest opportunity gets a written scope detailed enough for any qualified developer to build from.

What you get

  • A map of your processes showing the tasks and handoffs where delays or missing information cause problems.
  • Three ranked AI opportunities, each assessed for value, effort, risk, and readiness. For the second and third, the roadmap notes what needs to be true before they are worth doing.
  • A detailed scope for one project: the workflow and the outcome you want, the tools, data, and access it needs, its boundaries and human review points, and acceptance checks with a first step.

The roadmap is written in plain language for the people who run the work. If a recommendation needs a developer, we'll say so, and we can build it if you want.

How human review fits in

Every project we scope names the points where a person checks the work. For an assistant that drafts replies, you approve each reply before it is sent. For an automation that moves information between tools, errors and missing details are flagged for someone to review. The scope says who reviews what, and when a person steps in.

Access, confidentiality, and approved tools are agreed before work begins, and an NDA is available. Our team has spent three years shipping production software, including work on a healthcare platform that handled sensitive patient data under strict compliance requirements.

Limits to know about

The Audit produces a plan. Building the project is separate work, whether we do it or another developer does. The Audit also can't promise a result. It tells you where AI is likely to help, what it would take, and what could get in the way. Sometimes the best first step is organizing data or writing down a process before any AI is added, and the roadmap will say so.

Pricing

The Audit is $2,500, paid when you book. If it does not surface an opportunity worth more than its fee, we refund the fee in full.

If you want a quick sense of where you stand first, the free AI readiness checklist takes about 10 minutes and needs no email. You can also see the Audit on the home page or read all the FAQs.

Common questions about the Audit

Do I need a technical team for this to work?

No. The Audit and the roadmap are written in plain language for the people who run the work. If a recommendation needs a developer to build, we'll say so, and we can build it if you want.

How much time do I need to put in?

About an hour total: the working session up front and the walkthrough call at the end. We do the work in between.

Is this remote or in-person?

Remote. The working session and the walkthrough call both happen over video, wherever you are.
